Wales Tourist Board inspected and approved

Delightful 17th Century listed cottage, which has been lovingly and sympathetically restored to a very high standard, whilst maintaining its character throughout.
There is a cosy traditional feel to this beautiful cottage, built of stone, with a stone tiled roof and wealth of beams. Comfortably furnished and superbly equipped for a relaxing holiday.

The Sitting room has an inglenook fireplace with a woodburner, large oak beam over, brick lined breadoven and stone hearth, Sky TV and CD/radio.

The comfortable bedrooms comprise 1 double and 1 twin-bedded room, with all linen supplied.
.
Well equipped kitchen, including dishwasher & microwave, dining area, walk in pantry with its original salting stone, inner back hall with washing machine, opening into the bathroom.

It has an enclosed lawn at the back, overlooking a well fenced stream, with a patio area set under an old apple tree.

The Cottage is ideally situated in the centre of the small village of Clyro, a mile and a half from Hay-on-Wye, where the Victorian Curate and diarist Francis Kilvert lived. The Cottage faces the lychgate of the Church which lies between the old village pound and the small green, where the local stocks would once have stood. It is one of a pair of the oldest, prettiest cottages in the village, near the shop / Post Office and local pub.
